About PlanSmartUS

A mobile plan comparison built on one rule: a price we cannot verify is a price we do not show.

What we do

PlanSmartUS compares US mobile plans on the number that actually decides a bill: the total cost over 12 and 24 months, activation fees and the jump from a promotional rate to the standard one included. Headline prices are everywhere; what most people cannot find is what they will still be paying in month thirteen.

We cover prepaid and no-contract plans from national carriers and MVNOs, one line at a time. Multi-line family pricing is tracked where the provider publishes a straight per-line rate, and left out where the price only exists inside a configurator we cannot read the same way twice.

How prices get here

Every tariff is read from the provider's own website by a collector that runs daily, then checked by hand before it goes live. A new plan, a changed price or a plan that disappears is never published automatically: it is pulled from the site, flagged, and reviewed. That is why some providers show a full price list and others only a coverage profile.

Each plan displays the date it was last verified and how many times we have recorded it. If a price moves, the history is kept — you can see the previous figure on the plan page.

How we make money

The site is free and funded by advertising. Advertisers buy space, never position: neither the choice of plans nor their order nor the price shown depends on a commercial relationship. Rankings are computed from the published figures — when two plans tie, both are marked as best on that criterion rather than one being picked.

We have no affiliate agreement with the operators listed here. Links to a provider website are plain references markedrel="nofollow"; if a paid agreement is ever signed, the affected links will be switched torel="sponsored" and disclosed on the page. Our full data and disclosure rules are on the methodology page.

Corrections

Prices change without notice, and a carrier can restructure a plan overnight. If you spot a figure that no longer matches the provider's site, write to the contact page with the plan name and the page you were looking at. Corrections are applied first and explained after.
